Vendit, a hospitality automation solutions company, announced that it has registered a patent for an 'automatic room assignment system' that automatically assigns reservations based on real-time room status and guest requests.
This patent centers on technology that automatically assigns reservations to rooms by comprehensively analyzing room status information collected through the Room Control Unit (RCU), guest requests, and property operator priorities. Vendit has been applying this technology in real-world operations since the initial planning stage, and with this registration, it has secured exclusive rights to the related system.
The automated room assignment system simultaneously considers operational data, such as room condition, availability, cleaning, and maintenance status, along with guest preferences, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and minimizing errors caused by human judgment. A Bendit representative explained, "Room assignment is the final and most complex area of hotel operation automation. This patent is significant in that it formalizes operational logic proven in the field into a technical right."
The patented technology, combined with Bendi's CMS, PMS, and RCU-based automation architecture, is expected to serve as a key technology for future unmanned and semi-unmanned lodging operations. The patent was designed and filed under the leadership of Bendi's CTO, Eun-gyu Lee, and the company stated that the technology was perfected through extensive field implementation and technological advancement.
