LG announced on the 5th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Moti, a digital healthcare technology company founded by LG's in-house venture, and Health Guidance, a physical therapist-based education and healthcare company, to establish a smart musculoskeletal prevention system and expand related businesses.
This agreement aims to jointly develop and market a data-based preventive solution that combines Moti's smart measurement and control technology with the rehabilitation exercise prescription expertise of Physiostudio, operated by Health Map, to prevent musculoskeletal diseases, which are considered a major health problem for modern people.
Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate on advancing AI-based musculoskeletal measurement systems, developing customized exercise programs using clinical data from physical therapy experts, distributing musculoskeletal management solutions to corporations and public institutions, and establishing a preventive medicine service model based on digital healthcare.
Moti, a technology company born from LG's in-house venture program, has developed motor control and sensor-based smart exercise equipment and data analysis software. Its technology analyzes a user's body type, movement, and muscle strength to control exercise intensity and method.
Physio Studio, which operates the health map, announced that through this collaboration, it plans to build a musculoskeletal prevention solution that combines accurate measurements and clinically based exercise prescriptions, and to increase service reliability.
With this agreement, Moti plans to strengthen the clinical and medical value of its technology and expand its data-based digital healthcare services to the global market in the future.
The two companies plan to expand their cooperation to various fields, including the establishment of a smart healthcare center, senior care, and a musculoskeletal management program for office workers.
