Nanum Vitamin , a social venture that operates the mobile meal ticket platform Nabiyam, announced that it won the Innovation Award at the 2nd Social Impact Award (SIA) 2026 hosted by the SIA Korea office.
This year's awards ceremony was held with winners selected by public vote following recommendations from public interest civic groups. The Social Impact Awards recognize projects that have led to tangible change in addressing social issues, and award winners in three categories: Innovation, Creativity, and Hurdling.
Nanum Vitamin, an innovation award winner, has been using digital technology to address the persistent stigma and limited choice issues that plague the meal support system for vulnerable populations. The Nabiyam platform converts welfare and social contribution budgets from public institutions, corporations, and foundations into digital meal coupons, allowing users to choose the time, menu, and location of meals at approximately 60,000 affiliated restaurants nationwide.
This service is evaluated as reducing the psychological burden caused by having to disclose welfare service use by adopting a user interface similar to general financial and consumer services. Another notable feature is that it improves the user experience while maintaining existing systems like child meal cards and paper meal vouchers.
Additionally, by linking small business stores that have voluntarily provided sharing and discounts for vulnerable groups to the platform, a structure was established to record and manage social contribution activities that were previously scattered in the form of in-kind donations and systematically connect them to beneficiaries.
Nanum Vitamin plans to use this award as an opportunity to expand its meal support model based on digital technology and public-private cooperation.
