Medical and beauty laser specialist company Lameditech (CEO Choi Jong-seok) is launching its personal laser beauty device, PURAXEL ME-IN, into major domestic duty-free shops, and is launching a full-scale attack on the global home beauty market.
Lameditec plans to expand its distribution channels, starting with Shilla Jeju Duty Free on February 6th, followed by City Duty Free Airport and Lotte Duty Free's online mall in February, Shilla Duty Free Jangchung in March, and Shinsegae Duty Free Myeongdong offline stores within the second quarter. This will complete the establishment of a strategic distribution network encompassing major domestic duty-free operators.
This duty-free entry is seen as a turning point for Lameditech, expanding its laser technology, cultivated in the medical and professional beauty device markets, into the global consumer market. Duty-free stores serve as a premium distribution channel, attracting both foreign tourists and global consumers, enabling increased brand awareness and validation of real-world demand.
Lameditech plans to utilize the duty-free channel to enhance product experience and brand exposure, and to use it as a foundation for expanding overseas distribution and establishing local partnerships in the future.
"Puracell Miin" is a personal home beauty device that leverages Lameditech's laser technology expertise. Developed directly by a professional medical and beauty device company, it stands out from existing home beauty products. Furthermore, by linking it with the "Puraderma Regena" series of professional skincare products, which enhance the effectiveness of the device, the company offers an integrated solution model, securing sales of consumable products that can be purchased repeatedly.
Rameditech plans to preemptively capture the demand of foreign tourists and global consumers through its duty-free distribution network and strengthen its brand positioning as a "beauty tech" company that combines K-beauty and K-medical technology.
A company representative stated, "Duty-free stores are a key channel for directly assessing global consumer demand and validating brand competitiveness. Through this launch, we will expand our international consumer touchpoints and foster our home beauty device business, powered by medical and aesthetic laser technology, as a next-generation growth engine." They added, "Building on the success of our duty-free channel, we will gradually expand our distribution partnerships and sales channels, focusing on Asia and key overseas markets, as we strive to become a global brand."
