Wayvis to turn a profit by 2025… "Sales of 40.8 billion won, operating profit of 900 million won"

Wayvis (CEO Min-seok Han) , a company specializing in RF (radio frequency) gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductors and defense, announced on the 9th that it successfully turned a profit in 2025, driven by sales growth and export expansion in the defense sector. The company recorded sales of KRW 40.8 billion, operating profit of KRW 900 million, and net income of KRW 2 billion in 2025, with sales increasing 38.9% year-on-year.

The improved performance is attributed primarily to increased sales from domestic defense projects and increased exports, particularly for overseas defense, anti-drone, and satellite projects. Wayvis's exports last year reached 3.6 billion won, a more than fivefold increase from 700 million won the previous year. The company supplies RF GaN semiconductors to various defense weapon systems, including ground-to-air defense systems, shipborne radars, and space surveillance radars, and operates Korea's only RF GaN semiconductor mass production FAB.

Wayvis believes its mid- to long-term performance visibility is high as it moves beyond the simple development phase and enters full-scale mass production and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) sales. Furthermore, it is currently building a next-generation RF GaN semiconductor production facility capable of integrated chip-package-module production near Cheonan Technopark in South Chungcheong Province. It also plans to establish military-standard reliability testing facilities to meet future demand for satellite, aerospace, and ultra-high-frequency (Ku/Ka band) product mass production.

A Wayvis official stated, “2025 will be a year in which sales stability and export expansion, centered on the defense industry, will be visible at the same time,” and “Based on the new production facility in Cheonan, scheduled to begin operation in 2027, we will enhance our production capacity and product portfolio to continue our mid- to long-term growth.”
