This pop-up store is the company's first case of advancing into Osaka based on its experience operating Marui department stores in the Tokyo area, and its strategy is to simultaneously verify IP awareness and purchasing power targeting tourists and local families in the Namba area.
The 'Bebepin Pop-up Store' will be the first of its kind in the Kansai region and will run from February 11th to 23rd. It will feature a Valentine's Day-themed key visual and over 70 types of MD utilizing The Pinkfong Company's representative IPs: Pinkfong, Baby Shark, Bebepin, and Sealook. Various products such as Mother Goose pads, sound books, large dolls, and key rings will be available, and during the pop-up period, six character photo sessions with the Bebepin trio will be held to strengthen connections with families.
An official from The Pinkfong Company stated, “Based on the popularity of Bebepin confirmed in Tokyo, we have decided to expand to Namba, Osaka,” and “We plan to provide diverse experiences encompassing both online and offline to fans across Japan by utilizing the competitiveness of Bebepin’s IP.” Bebepin is the first Korean animation to rank first in the Netflix Kids category in 11 countries, including the US, and ranked in the Top 10 in 25 countries, and has surpassed 70 million cumulative subscribers on YouTube.
