Seoul Chip, a rice processing food company, announced that it has officially received venture business certification under Article 25 of the Special Act on the Promotion of Venture Businesses. This certification is seen as a recognition of Seoul Chip's technological prowess and service in overseas markets.
Seoul Chip plans to leverage this venture business certification to expand its brand reach and exports to overseas consumers. The company's flagship product is a gluten-free snack made with 100% domestic rice. Its signature products include "Seoul Chip Iron Plate Kimchi Fried Rice," which recreates the flavor of traditional iron plate kimchi fried rice; "Butter Soy Sauce Seoul Chip," a modern take on the classic butter soy sauce rice; and "Seoul Chip Nurungji Tea," available in convenient stick packaging.
Seoul Chip laid the foundation for its overseas expansion by winning the Excellence Award at the 2025 K-Rice Festival and the Bronze Prize at the International Exhibition of Ideas, Inventions, and New Products in Germany. Seoul Chip CEO Han Hee-won stated, "Obtaining venture company certification is a testament to Seoul Chip's technological prowess and growth potential. In 2026, we plan to make Seoul Chip's name known abroad, alongside the growing K-snack and K-food craze."
