Crit Ventures Co., Ltd. (CEO Jaejun Song) announced that it has made seed investments in two deep tech startups this month, including digital healthcare startup 'Early Health Ltd' and food tech startup 'Noasfarm'.
Headquartered in London, UK, Early is a digital healthcare company developing a self-diagnosis device that enables the early detection of four major chronic diseases—cancer, kidney disease, heart disease, and diabetes—through at-home urine tests. Rather than relying on traditional test papers, Early utilizes electrochemical sensing technology to enhance analytical accuracy, and its dedicated app enables daily health monitoring.
Early's co-founder, Thomas Heatherwick, a world-renowned designer, was directly involved in product and device design. This helped lower the psychological barriers to accessing medical devices and create a user-friendly interface.
Noah's Farm is a food tech startup that discovers and designs flavor factors that determine the taste and aroma of food. Using its proprietary AI model, "N-Palette1," the company selects promising candidates and generates combination formulas without having to manually experiment with hundreds of millions of molecular combinations, thereby reducing the time and cost required for flavor factor development.
The blueberry, Alpine peach, and grape flavor factors developed by Noah's Farm have achieved results more than 80% similar to actual flavors in electronic tongue tests and sensory evaluations, and related patents are in progress. The company also plans to develop new flavor factors for use in the food and beverage industry, including vanilla, saffron, and coffee.
Crit Ventures has identified deep tech as a key growth strategy this year and is expanding its investments in related fields. It has already secured companies like AI semiconductor design company Furiosa AI and modular robotics automation platform developer WithPoints into its portfolio, strengthening its technology-based investment competitiveness.
Song Jae-jun, CEO of Crit Ventures, said, “We are actively investing in deep-tech startups that can transform the paradigm of existing industries based on their unique technological prowess,” and added, “We plan to continue supporting the global expansion of our portfolio companies by leveraging our overseas network.”
