B2N CEO Jang Du-won receives the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award for his contributions to the development of the smart home industry.

Artificial intelligence (AI) and big data specialist company B2N (CEO Lee Chang-hyun and Lee Jeong-hoon) announced on the 11th that Director Jang Du-won of the Intelligent Information Technology Research Institute received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award at the '2025 Smart Home Meritorious Government Awards' for his contributions to the development of the smart home industry.

The awards ceremony was held during the 23rd Korea AI Smart Home Industry Association regular general meeting held at the Samjeong Hotel in Seoul on the 10th, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea AI Smart Home Industry Association.

The Smart Home Meritorious Service Award recognizes individuals who have contributed to the advancement of the industry through the development and distribution of smart home technology. Director Jang Du-won was selected as the recipient in recognition of his contributions to the development and commercialization of core smart home and AIoT technologies, the implementation of national research and development projects, and the enhancement of technological competitiveness.

Jang Du-won, director of the Intelligent Information Technology Research Institute, said, “This award is the result of the data technology accumulated by B2N members leading to achievements in the smart home industry,” and added, “We will continue to lead the way in making residential spaces more intelligent by utilizing AI and data, and contribute to the development of the industrial ecosystem and improvement of user experience.”

Meanwhile, B2N has been developing its AX business based on its full data lifecycle capabilities, encompassing data management, analysis, and utilization. Recently, it has also been advancing technological advancements in the smart home sector, focusing on data reliability and personal information protection. Currently, it is leading the national research and development project "Development of Intelligent Home Edge-Cloud Hybrid Personal Information Enhancement Technology," and is continuing to strengthen the underlying technologies for implementing safe and intelligent smart home services.
