Deal Hosts Global Startup Tournament "The Pitch"

Global HR and payroll management platform Deal announced that it will host The Pitch, a global startup tournament to discover promising startups from around the world, on the 12th.

The Pitch is a global competition program for over 20,000 seed-stage startups across seven regions around the world, including Singapore, New York, Dubai, and Paris.

The total investment is $15 million. Up to 100 regional champions will be selected, each receiving $50,000 in funding. Up to ten global champions will receive an additional $1 million, for a total of $1.05 million per team.

Deal explained that, noting that existing venture capital opportunities have been limited by regional networks and accessibility, he designed a program to select startups based on their capabilities and growth potential, rather than national borders or connections. The competition is conducted in a tournament format, combining data-driven evaluations with expert judging, with a final selection probability of approximately 0.05 percent.

The competition will proceed through an online selection process, followed by regional offline finals in major tech hubs such as Tel Aviv, Dubai, Singapore, New York, Paris, London, and Berlin. The final winner will be determined at the global finals in May 2026.

Applications for the Asia-Pacific region, including Korea, will be accepted until April 22nd. Any seed-stage company with a minimum viable product is eligible to participate, and there is no separate participation fee.

JP Morgan is participating as a presenting partner for this program, and a16z, Delocal, Google, Auric, Prodware, Ribit Ventures, and Stripe are participating as official partners.

Through this program, Deal Korea plans to discover global startups with growth potential, regardless of region or network.
