The Jeju Center for Creative Economy and Innovation announced on the 2nd that the childcare company Tansan Oreum received the Minister of Foreign Affairs' commendation for its contribution to the successful hosting of the 2025 APEC Summit.
This award was given based on a comprehensive evaluation of contributions made in the preparation and operation of the APEC Summit, as well as the on-site response. Tansan Oreum participated as an official sponsor of the 2nd Senior Officials' Meeting held in Jeju and the main event of the APEC Summit held in Gyeongju in October.
During the summit, Tansan Oreum provided premium carbonated water made from Jeju lava seawater to domestic and international leaders, delegations, and diplomats. This effort was recognized as a valuable contribution to promoting the value of K-food and Jeju's pristine resources on the international stage.
Additionally, it received positive reviews for its eco-friendly glass bottle packaging and aluminum cap, and its product storytelling that captures Jeju's nature, which aligned with APEC's core agenda of a sustainable future.
Tansan Oreum was discovered through the Jeju Creative Economy Innovation Center's Marine and Fisheries Acceleration Program and Local Creator Development Program. Last year, its commercial viability was recognized, winning an award of excellence at the Glocal Festa pitching contest hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
