Azwemake (CEO Sooyoung Son), which operates the digital transformation solution for grocery stores, Q Market, is collaborating with Anypoint Media (CEO Wonjang Baek), an addressable TV advertising technology company, to innovate neighborhood mart marketing.
Azwemake announced on the 13th that it has signed a business agreement with Anypoint Media to provide data-driven TV advertising services targeting grocery stores. This agreement aims to improve marketing efficiency by transitioning grocery stores from paper flyers, their primary promotional tool, to digital, data-driven TV advertising.
The newly introduced TV advertising service features precise targeting of households living near the supermarket. By focusing ads on channels and time slots preferred by Q Market's primary user base—housewives in their 40s and older—the service has improved cost efficiency. The company anticipates a cost savings of approximately 30% compared to existing flyers and a sales increase of over 20%.
Additionally, SDK-based purchase conversion tracking technology provides real-time reports on whether ad views lead to app installations or actual purchases. This data-driven approach complements the limitations of the local advertising market, where performance measurement has historically been difficult.
This service leverages the infrastructure of PayQ, a subsidiary of Azwemake and operator of the discount coupon brand "One Coupon," to enhance its execution capabilities. PayQ is a hyperlocal marketing specialist with a nationwide network of approximately 5,000 affiliated stores and 60 manufacturers.
PayQ, which has been operating signage advertising in supermarkets, plans to expand its advertising reach to TV through this agreement. The company aims to establish a new hybrid advertising channel in the local marketing market by expanding its reach to distributors.
Son Soo-young, CEO of Azwemake, announced that she would improve the information asymmetry in the neighborhood supermarket market through a data-driven approach, providing efficient marketing solutions for store owners and customized benefits for consumers. She added that after a concept verification at directly operated stores, she plans to expand the service to grocery stores nationwide.
