Medical and healthcare solutions company LuluMedic announced on the 13th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with AI specialist Upstage for a business partnership based on medical MyData and large-scale language models (LLM) applicable to the medical environment.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to accelerate digital innovation in the medical MyData field and jointly develop and commercialize AI solutions optimized for the medical field. The goal is to combine LuluMedic's medical MyData expertise with Upstage's large-scale language model technology to discover practical innovation models.
LuluMedic has been designated as a medical data personal information management specialist by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and possesses the technological capabilities to safely process sensitive medical data. Through this agreement, LuluMedic aims to develop a reliable medical AI standard model by incorporating Upstage's AI technology.
Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate on a wide range of initiatives, including joint planning of AI services specialized in medicine and healthcare, collaboration on safe use of medical data technologies, and participation in demonstration projects in the public and private sectors. The development of practical solutions, such as EMR integration technology and medical staff support services, will also be pursued.
LuluMedic CEO Kim Young-woong stated, “As a medical data specialist, we will combine our technological prowess with Upstage’s AI know-how to maximize the value of medical data and provide innovative medical AI services that both medical professionals and patients can use with confidence.”
