Contec wins contract for maintenance of Hangwooyeon's satellite ground system.

Global space ground station service company Contec (451760, CEO Lee Seong-hee) has won a contract for the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI)'s 2026 satellite ground system maintenance project.

Since its founding in 2015, Contec has been responsible for operating the ground stations of Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI). This contract was awarded based on over a decade of accumulated technological expertise and a proven track record of reliable operation. The company was highly praised for establishing a field-centric technology system capable of responding immediately to emergencies, minimizing system downtime and supporting stable operations.

This contract is being evaluated by the market as a case that simultaneously validates technological barriers to entry and business stability. National infrastructure maintenance often involves high business continuity and stringent quality standards, so the same supplier often handles it for extended periods. The long-term relationship with Hangwooyeon serves as a foundation for Contec's stable sales and trust with overseas satellite operators.

Through this project, Contec plans to contribute to the advancement of national satellite asset management while accelerating global market expansion based on its accumulated operational experience. Amidst the growing global demand for satellite operations, ground station maintenance and operation services are considered a long-term growth driver.

Lee Seong-hee, CEO of Contec, said, “We have been able to take responsibility for the ground system, which is the core of national satellite operation, for over 10 years thanks to the expertise of our engineers and the stability of our operational organization.” He added, “We will continue to support the stable operation of national space assets through a thorough maintenance system.”
