Haejum (CEO Kwon Oh-hyun) announced that it has strengthened its company-wide safety management system by re-acquiring ISO 45001 certification, the international occupational health and safety management system standard.
Haejum has been operating an occupational health and safety management system since receiving certification in February 2023, and was re-certified as meeting the certification standards through a re-evaluation this year. This certification applies to the entire process of electrical work, ESS, and solar power plant design, construction, operation, and management.
ISO 45001 is an international safety and health certification established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It is a global standard that comprehensively evaluates workplace risk management, industrial accident prevention systems, and overall safety management processes. With the recent spread of RE100 and ESG management, safety management requirements for companies building and operating renewable energy facilities are also increasing.
Haejum provides solar and renewable energy facility development, construction, and operation services and has strengthened its site-centered safety management system. Its operations, particularly on-site PPAs and large industrial facilities, require a higher level of safety management standards and on-site control than typical power plants. Accordingly, it standardizes safety management manuals across all stages of design, construction, operation, and management, and systematically implements industrial accident prevention activities through regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and training programs.
Additionally, a safety inspection process is applied to all stages of the power plant to proactively manage on-site risks, and this operational system has been revalidated through this recertification.
