Everybot, an AI service robot company, announced on the 19th that it has hired Hanjun Seong, a former Samsung Electronics executive, as the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of its subsidiary Everybot Mobility.
Mr. Sung graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University. He has worked at Samsung Electronics for approximately 30 years, overseeing kitchen solution development and implementing user-centered platform innovations. He also possesses expertise in operating global production facilities, having worked at Samsung Electronics Thailand.
Going forward, Executive Director Sung will oversee Everybot Mobility's corporate research center and spearhead the advancement of AI-powered autonomous personal mobility and AI-powered autonomous smart robot chair technologies. The company expects this appointment to positively impact corporate performance growth by strengthening its R&D capabilities, enhancing cost and quality competitiveness, and improving supply chain efficiency.
With the addition of Executive Director Sung, Everybot now has four former Samsung Electronics executives, including those from subsidiaries, significantly strengthening its R&D capabilities. Everybot also plans to accelerate the development of new AI service robot products.
