Korea East-West Power Co., Ltd. is recruiting teams for its "2026 Energy Deep Tech Startup Support Project (E-SPARK)" to strengthen the competitiveness of the domestic energy industry and foster promising startups. This program is open to prospective startup teams and early-stage startups with less than three years of experience nationwide.
Starting this year, we will select startups through two tracks: the 'IGNITION Track' for prospective entrepreneurs and the 'SPARK Track' for early-stage startups, to provide tailored support at each stage of their startup journey.
Selected teams will receive 10 million won in commercialization funds first, and teams with excellent performance will receive an additional 10 million won, for a maximum of 20 million won per team.
In addition to financial support, practical training programs are also provided to commercialize technological capabilities. Key support includes: ▲Intensive support for Proof of Concept (PoC) and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) projects; ▲Special lectures by energy experts; ▲One-on-one customized startup consulting; ▲Investor Relations Deck (IR Deck) development and pitching; and ▲Linkage with investment attraction and market development.
Last year, the E-SPARK project selected 20 teams, achieving significant results, including approximately KRW 400 million in sales, 12 new jobs, and the creation of 13 patents. In particular, last year's winning team, "Theon Co., Ltd.", has established itself as a successful model in the energy deep tech sector, having been selected for the Tech Incubator Program for Startups (TIPS) and is on the verge of attracting investment.
An official from Korea East-West Power said, “E-SPARK is a practical program that goes beyond simple support and is linked to the energy industry,” adding, “We hope that many entrepreneurs with innovative technologies will participate.”
Meanwhile, applications for the startup support program can be submitted online on the official website from February 6 to midnight on March 2.
