ISTE Wins Contract to Supply SK Hynix with Fume Cleaner Equipment

IST, a semiconductor equipment specialist, announced on the 20th that it had won a contract to supply FOUP Cleaner equipment to SK Hynix.

This contract, which follows the agreement signed in January of last year to supply automation equipment for SK Hynix's new Cheonggyu fab, includes the supply of hoop cleaner equipment for the line and equipment for supplemental investment in the existing Icheon fab. IST stated that it will continue to improve equipment performance and internalize technology, and has expanded its supply scope to include next-generation investment lines, building on its existing equipment supply experience.

IST has supplied equipment to SK Hynix's major mass production lines, accumulating process response experience and technological reliability. From January of this year through this contract, its cumulative order value has increased by over 300% year-on-year. A company representative explained that with the growing demand for high-capacity server DRAM driving increased production of HBM and DDR5 DRAM, the company plans to proactively address equipment demand across both new and existing fabs.

He added that the partnership is not limited to one-off supplies but extends across major production bases, so there is a high possibility of additional orders as facility investments expand in the future, and that the company plans to focus on stable production and improved reliability.
