Selvas AI, an artificial intelligence company, announced on the 20th that it recorded its best performance ever on a consolidated basis last year.
Last year, consolidated sales reached KRW 114.8 billion, a 2% increase year-on-year, and operating profit improved 60% year-on-year to KRW 1.28 billion. This performance was driven by the expansion of overseas sales and improved cost structure at consolidated subsidiary Mediana. Sales of patient monitors (PMDs) in North America increased by over 60% year-on-year, and sales of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in Europe increased by over 65%.
Mediana is expanding its business from its existing wired patient monitoring device-centric structure to an "integrated wired and wireless monitoring solution." This solution is a platform that integrates wired monitoring equipment, wireless wearable ECGs, and fall detection data on a single screen. Just ten business days after launch, Mediana signed a contract with a general hospital to supply wearable ECGs, and is currently expanding its supply to general and secondary hospitals.
Based on our experience in securing medical device certification and sales approval in major countries such as the Middle East, we are also pursuing expansion of overseas sales regions.
In a separate business unit, AI medical speech recognition (STT) is being applied to numerous departments at tertiary general hospitals, and AI text-to-speech (TTS) is being expanded to e-book platforms. The scope of AI and software technology application is also expanding to mobility sectors such as automobiles and railways.
Selvas Healthcare, a subsidiary of Selvas, is expanding its overseas sales based on its exclusive supply partnership with EVOLT, an Australian body composition analysis company. The company developed the Braille cell, a key component of its Braille terminals, using proprietary technology. Its new 7th-generation "BrailleSense" product will be unveiled at the CSUN Assistive Technology Conference in March and subsequently shipped.
A company official stated, “2025 will be a year of improving performance and expanding the foundation for new businesses,” and added, “In 2026, we will continue the trend of improving profitability by increasing the proportion of sales from new businesses, including integrated wired and wireless monitoring, and launching new products.”
