Komate, a foreign employment platform operated by Saramin (CEO Hwang Hyeon-sun), announced on the 20th that it has signed a business agreement with Hanyang University to support domestic employment of foreign students.
This agreement was implemented as part of a collaborative program under the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Regional Innovation-Oriented University Support System (RISE) project. The goal is to strengthen the employment capabilities of international students and establish a systematic international student management system. The plan is to combine Saramin Comet's recruitment IT expertise with the talent pool of Hanyang University, one of the universities with the largest international student population in Korea, to develop a model to support international students' domestic employment.
The two sides agreed to jointly develop a monitoring system for the employment management of foreign students, provide customized job preparation programs, and pursue other cooperative projects for mutual development.
Komate is a specialized recruitment service for foreigners, built on the expertise and technological prowess of Saramin, a career platform. It supports the matching of domestic companies with foreign talent by providing a foreigner authentication system, AI-based job posting recommendations, multilingual translation capabilities, and customized information content for foreigners.
Key platform indicators are also showing growth. In the fourth quarter of last year, the number of job postings and the growth rate of job applications increased by 201.8% and 65.8%, respectively, compared to the same period the previous year.
A Saramin Komate representative stated that they expect this collaboration to expand beyond a recruitment platform to include solutions for managing international talent. They also stated that they will foster an environment where international students can demonstrate their potential and strengthen their role as a bridge between universities and companies.
