Kang Jeong-gu, General Manager, previously worked at global consulting firms such as Bain & Company and Kearney Korea. He served as Chief Strategy Officer of Line Thailand, where he spearheaded the launch and growth of Line Man, the leading delivery platform in the region. He later served as Head of Global Business at Kakao Entertainment and Chief Operating Officer of Tapas Entertainment in the US, spearheading the company's global expansion, including its growth into a top-tier platform in the North American market.
Liner currently boasts over 13 million users in over 220 countries worldwide, and has refined its search technology to minimize AI illusions through a source-based answer structure. The company believes this technological reliability and global user base will serve as a competitive advantage for expanding into the enterprise market.
With the addition of General Manager Kang, Liner plans to expand its business beyond its existing enterprise search business into the enterprise intelligence market. The goal is to develop the platform into an AI business partner that connects and analyzes internal corporate data to provide insights and actionable solutions. Its primary targets are professional service firms handling large-scale data, such as consulting, investment, and R&D, as well as global mid-sized and large corporations. Liner plans to simultaneously target the North American and Asian markets.
Kang Jeong-gu, Head of AI Strategy, announced that he will leverage his global network and strategic planning experience to expand Liner's AI technology into the enterprise space, thereby enhancing corporate decision-making efficiency. Liner CEO Kim Jin-woo explained that this appointment will accelerate Liner's technological advancement and its penetration into the global B2B market.
Liner has expanded its global partnerships, including providing AI search APIs to SK Telecom's AI service, Adot, and exclusively integrating its search engine into Humane One, an integrated AI platform from Saudi Arabia's state-run AI company, Humane. Building on these successes, the company plans to continue expanding its business in the global enterprise market.
