The Seoul Investment Promotion Foundation is recruiting companies to participate in the "2026 Invest Seoul Tokyo IR."

The Seoul Investment Promotion Foundation (Chairman Lee Ji-hyung), the Seoul Metropolitan Government's dedicated organization for attracting overseas investment, announced that it is recruiting companies to participate in the '2026 Invest Seoul IR in Tokyo' program, which aims to support the strengthening of competitiveness of Seoul companies in the Japanese market, until March 6.

Japan's creative industries market is estimated to have recently grown to approximately 15 trillion yen, focusing on sectors such as fashion, beauty, games, film, media, webtoons, and XR. Major Japanese companies are moving beyond simple product imports to directly invest in Korean companies with competitive business models and brands. To address this market environment, the foundation plans to expand connections between promising Seoul companies and Japanese capital.

This program consists of step-by-step support to effectively showcase the technological prowess and business capabilities of Seoul-based companies to Japanese investors. First, support will include localizing IR materials tailored to Japanese market trends and pitching coaching. Next, private IR and networking sessions with local CVCs and VCs will be held in Tokyo in late April, providing practical investment consultation opportunities. Furthermore, participation in SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026, Asia's largest innovation conference, will support participants' understanding of global industry trends and their connections with local ecosystem stakeholders.

The program is open to Seoul-based startups in the creative industries who are prepared to attract global capital or have a track record of attracting investment. Twelve companies will be selected, and each will receive 1 million won in living expenses. A post-event management program will also be implemented, including follow-up meetings and promotion of success stories.

Lee Ji-hyung, chairman of the Seoul Investment Promotion Foundation, said that Japanese investors' interest in Korean creative companies is growing, and that through this IR program, he will support Seoul companies in securing business expansion opportunities in the Japanese market.

Companies wishing to participate can apply online until 6:00 PM on March 6th. Details can be found on the Seoul Investment Promotion Foundation website.
