Haesung Optics (CEO Cho Cheol) , a specialized optical solutions company, has demonstrated strong growth momentum, projecting that its consolidated monthly sales will reach an all-time high in its internal financial statements for January 2026.
The company boasts a monthly production capacity of approximately 30 billion won for optical image stabilization (OIS) actuators, and the line has recently been operating at virtually full capacity. This demonstrates that Haesung Optics' technological prowess and mass-production quality are being recognized as a key factor in the growing demand for flagship models from global smartphone manufacturers.
This performance growth is expected to generate synergy effects not only through increased production volume but also through AI-based manufacturing innovation. Haesung Optics is collaborating with KNS to build a next-generation OIS automation line utilizing Physical AI technology at its Haesung Vina production base in Vietnam. This strategy aims to maximize production yield and secure cost competitiveness.
In particular, through direct collaboration with KNS, we reduced the risks of our existing contract manufacturing method and secured manufacturing independence. This allows us to immediately incorporate our proprietary process expertise into our facilities, offset the risk of rising labor costs at overseas operations, and strengthen our infrastructure for entering new, high-value-added businesses such as electrical equipment and robot components.
CEO Cho Cheol is pursuing a "selection and concentration" strategy, focusing on reorganizing underperforming businesses and strengthening the competitiveness of the company's core optical solutions business, thereby driving substantial increases in corporate value.
A representative of Haesung Optics said, “The surplus trend in the fourth quarter of last year led to the highest sales ever in January, opening a new era of growth beyond management normalization,” and added, “We will increase profitability and maximize shareholder value by expanding the proportion of high value-added products and innovating manufacturing through cooperation with KNS.”
