Blue Robin Signs MOU with Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital

Blue Robin announced on February 24th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital for the establishment and verification of a smart hospital based on humanoid robots at the Ilsong Cultural Hall of Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital.

The signing ceremony was attended by Blue Robin co-CEOs Park Jae-heung and Heo Seong-moon, Director Cho Hyeon-beom, Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital Director Kim Hyeong-su and Administrative Director Lee Seung-dae, Hallym University Medical Center Command Center Director Lee Mi-yeon, and Vice Director Kim Yeong-mi.

This agreement aims to establish a cooperative system for the successful implementation of the 'M.AX (Manufacturing AI Transformation) Alliance' project. The two organizations are jointly pursuing the project 'Development of Humanoid Robots Specialized in Medical and Home Environments Based on AI Foundation Model' in the M.AX Alliance AI Robot Division. The M.AX Alliance is a cross-industry consultative body launched in September 2025 with the goal of transforming manufacturing sites into AI sites. Approximately 1,300 organizations, including the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, manufacturing and AI companies, universities, and research institutes, are participating.

The two organizations plan to develop a standard model for humanoid robots applicable to hospital and home environments in conjunction with national projects. As the lead organization, Blue Robin will be responsible for building the humanoid platform and developing core technologies for applying the AI foundation model. Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital will leverage its experience operating medical service robots to design customized service scenarios and establish a medical data collection environment for advanced physical AI.

Specifically, they plan to collaborate on joint planning and advancement of customized verification scenarios for hospitals and home environments based on the M.AX Alliance, advancement of physical AI technology based on actual operational data, and establishment of a verification system for the applicability of medical services. The two organizations plan to accelerate the commercialization of humanoid technology in the medical service sector by having supply companies and demand organizations collaborate from the early stages.

Blue Robin is a robotics company established in 2022 as a spin-off from Seoul National University's robotics lab DYROS. It possesses convergent capabilities ranging from hardware technologies such as robot design and motor controllers to software technologies such as robot system integration and AI-based autonomous control.

With this agreement, Blue Robin plans to promote the standardization of medical logistics automation and verification models, establish its own mass production system, and lay the foundation for expansion into the care robot sector.
