In order to expand win-win cooperation with promising startups possessing innovative technologies, Lotte Ventures is recruiting companies to participate in its flagship open innovation program 'L-CAMP' and its food-specialized program 'L-CAMP: Future Food: Dan' until 4:00 PM on Tuesday, March 31st.
El Camp is a program where Lotte Ventures investment reviewers serve as dedicated startup managers to identify promising companies and support the entire process, from linking with Lotte Group affiliates for Proof of Concept (PoC) projects to direct investment review. Since last year, the program has strengthened its bottom-up approach, allowing startups to directly propose collaboration models leveraging affiliate infrastructure, further enhancing its field-focused collaboration structure.
Last year, 10 startups were selected and conducted a total of 18 PoCs with 14 Lotte Group affiliates. Romantic (Kozia), a participant in the Future Diet program, signed product supply and store agreements with Lotte Hotel Seoul, Lotte Department Store, and Lotte Duty Free, along with opening stores in 7-Eleven locations nationwide. It also secured investment from Lotte Ventures. Tidybee, a participant in L-Camp, collaborated with Daehong Planning to develop an integrated automated marketing solution for SMEs, further solidifying its business model.
This year's recruitment areas cover all technology and business fields, including food tech, with a focus on AI, robotics, and seniors. Applicants can directly select a Lotte Group affiliate (distribution, food, construction, IT, tourism, and services) with which they wish to collaborate and propose a commercialization project.
Selected companies will receive PoC opportunities with Lotte Group affiliates, direct investment review by Lotte Ventures, expert office hours and networking, credit and voucher support in areas such as cloud computing, public relations, accounting, and legal affairs, and mentoring from group companies and Seoul National University Bundang Hospital's Healthcare Park. Companies selected for the Future Diet program will also receive participation in the 2026 AFPRO exhibition and PoC funding. This year, a new benefit has also been added: discounts on digital signage advertising in 7-Eleven stores.
The food-specialized program Future Diet is operated as a public-private partnership model with the participation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the Korea Institute of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Lotte Central Research Institute, Lotte Wellfood and other food affiliates, and Lotte Department Store and Lotte Home Shopping and other distribution affiliates.
Throughout the program, the Korea Institute of Startups and Startups (KISED) and accelerator ACNDC will partner to support startups. Applications can be submitted online until 4:00 PM on Tuesday, March 31st. Further details can be found on the Lotte Ventures website.
A Lotte Ventures official stated that the group will focus its capabilities to ensure that promising startups' technologies can be implemented in actual business settings.
