Wikip Wins Korea Cold Chain Industry Challenge Award

AI-based fulfillment company Wikip (CEO Jang Bo-young) won the Challenge Award at the 4th Korea Cold Chain Industry Awards Ceremony held at the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) Building in Yeouido, Seoul on the 25th. Hosted by the Korea Food Cold Chain Association, the awards recognize companies that have contributed to the advancement of the cold chain industry in areas such as temperature management, logistics automation, energy conservation, digital transformation, and new technology development.

Wekeep was recognized for simultaneously developing a predictive fulfillment operation system leveraging AI and a food safety management system. The FBW (Fulfillment by Wekeep) solution is a logistics system that integrates prepacking (PrePack), automated inventory request (Reserved Order), and automated inventory replenishment and movement (FIS) functions. Its structure predicts demand based on order data and reflects this information in prepacking, inventory replenishment, and movement operations.

This technological prowess has led to AI+ certification from the Korea Standards Association (KSA) and designation as an "Excellent New Logistics Technology" by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in 2025, demonstrating operational efficiency in the field. Furthermore, the company strengthened its cold chain operations by obtaining FSSC 22000, an international food safety management system certification, for its cold chain logistics center. FSSC 22000 certification requires a comprehensive management system across the entire process, including temperature control, hygiene, and hazard control.

Wikip operates its own fulfillment centers in major hubs including Incheon Hub Center, Icheon, Hwaseong, and Busan, and as of February 2026, it provides a variety of logistics services ranging from multi-variety, small-quantity e-commerce products to refrigerated and frozen foods to over 4,300 cumulative customers.

CEO Jang Bo-young said, “The cold chain industry is evolving into a structure that combines prediction, automation, and safety management capabilities, and this award is a comprehensive recognition of WiKip’s operational system and technological capabilities.” He added, “We will continue to advance data-driven logistics automation and global-level food safety management systems to contribute to the digital transformation of the industry.”
