
The German Chamber of Commerce in Korea (KGCCI) and the Korean Women's Associations United signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the 25th at the Air Force Hotel to promote women's leadership and strengthen their capabilities. Representatives and key officials from both organizations attended the signing ceremony, where they discussed future cooperation plans.
This agreement aims to discover the leadership potential of women and expand their social influence, focusing on KGCCI's "Women In Korea (WIR)" mentoring program. The two organizations plan to collaborate in various areas, including mutual invitations to WIR programs and events, collaboration on CSR projects, and business marketing and public relations collaboration.
Founded in 1959, the Korean Women's Associations Council (KGACC) is Korea's largest women's organization. With a network of approximately 5 million members, it works to improve the status of women and strengthen their capabilities. KGCCI practices CSR and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) values, and has consistently implemented women's mentoring programs and social contribution activities.
KGCCI CEO von Schönburg stated, "This agreement strengthens the foundation for supporting female leaders in various industries. We will continue to strive to foster women's career development and expand networking opportunities." Chairman Heo Myung stated, "Through cooperation between our two organizations, we will contribute to developing women's potential and expanding their social participation."
