
Unicorn, a developer and supplier of next-generation ultra-high-speed wireless communication semiconductors, announced on the 27th that it has secured 18.5 billion won in Series B funding. This brings Unicorn's total investment to 33.6 billion won.
This investment round was participated by major domestic investors including Bon Angels Venture Partners, Korea Development Bank, Doosan Investment, K&T Investment Partners, Lee Investment, and LNS Venture Capital.
Unicorn is developing the "UC60," a wireless communication semiconductor chip connector based on 60 gigahertz (GHz) band full-duplex communication. The product aims to create a wireless solution that can replace or supplement wired connections in ultra-high-speed, low-latency environments.
The UC60 has completed verification in smartphones, laptops, and robotic arm joints and is currently preparing for mass production. Furthermore, its potential applications in physical AI communications, including humanoids, autonomous vehicles, and space data center docking, have been raised, and verification has recently begun.
The company explained that its technological prowess, product advancement, and market validation processes have received positive reviews from strategic and financial investors. With this investment, the company plans to focus on establishing a mass production system, expanding into the global market, and strengthening its R&D capabilities.
Kim Young-dong, CEO of Unicorn, said that this investment has confirmed trust in the company's technological capabilities and business direction, and that the company will focus on enhancing technological perfection and creating value that meets market and customer demands.
