The Ministry of SMEs and Startups is launching the second round of applications for the 2026 SME Innovation Voucher program, providing KRW 14.8 billion in regional growth voucher support.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced that it will be holding the second round of recruitment for companies in need of the 2026 'Small and Medium Enterprise Innovation Voucher Support Project' from February 27 to March 13 to expand the innovative growth capacity of small and medium enterprises and strengthen the competitiveness of local industries and local enterprises.

This second round of applications targets the "Regional Growth Voucher" program, one of the five innovation voucher programs, and will provide a total of KRW 14.8 billion in support. Selected companies will receive vouchers worth up to KRW 50 million per company, which can be used in three areas: consulting, technical support, and marketing.

Regional growth vouchers are divided into three types depending on the target of support: ▲regional specialized project-linked type ▲regional autonomous type ▲regional small business growth type.

The regional specialized project-linked model targets companies participating in the "Legend 50+ Project," a regional SME growth model sponsored by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and provides support worth 10 billion won. This model will streamline procedures, including exemption from on-site evaluations, to expedite support.

The regional autonomous model is based on a program planned by the Regional SMEs and Startups Administration to revitalize and strengthen the competitiveness of local traditional manufacturing and key industries. Approximately KRW 2.54 billion in support is provided. Details can be found in announcements from each regional office.

The Regional Small Business Growth Program is a new program designed this year. It aims to encourage commercialization of small businesses in regions where technology and product development conditions are weak due to manufacturing facility shortages and other factors. Approximately 2.26 billion won in support will be provided to participating companies in the entrepreneurial small business development program.

The project announcement will be available on the Ministry of SMEs and Startups website starting February 27th. Companies interested in participating can apply online on the Innovation Voucher platform.
