RECON Labs (CEO: Sunghoon Ban) announced that it participated in GS Retail's startup incubation program 'The GS Challenge Future Retail 3rd' and completed a PoC for broadcast content production using the GS Home Shopping My Shop Team and the generative AI integrated platform 'Zenpresso'.
This PoC was conducted for approximately four months, from October 2025 to January 2026. It focused on verifying whether home shopping producers could utilize generative AI to quickly and efficiently produce insert videos for broadcasting, while ensuring quality and consistency suitable for actual broadcasting.
During the PoC period, the two companies produced a variety of visual elements, including product introduction graphics, efficacy and effect visualization videos, and 3D characters. As a result, insert video production time using the Zenpresso was significantly reduced compared to previous models, and a total of 128 PoC results were broadcast live.
Practical producers praised Zenpresso's node-based canvas structure for its intuitive work environment and history management features. They explained that the ability to combine elements like text and images to create finished products, and the ability to rewind and iterate on previous attempts, increased efficiency. They also noted that the AI agent reflected the work context, maintaining consistency in style and composition, thereby contributing to a higher level of production completion.
The potential for improved production workflows was also confirmed. Instead of the traditional method of repeatedly shooting to showcase various color variations, a process using AI to generate different color options based on representative images of the model was implemented, demonstrating the potential for resource savings in model recruitment and photoshoot operations.
Based on the results of this PoC, Recon Labs plans to continue discussions with GS Retail for practical implementation. Furthermore, the company plans to continue developing features specific to the home shopping environment, including building a workspace that supports team or group payments and usage, enhancing customized agent functionality optimized for products sold and video production types, and enhancing the video extension feature that expands short video sources into multiple versions.
CEO Ban Seong-hoon stated that this collaboration is a case that confirms the possibility of workflow redesign by applying generative AI to an actual video production environment, and that the company will continue to provide integrated solutions that support corporate customers' AI transition.
