Yeji X (CEO Seonghyeon Jeong) announced that it has been selected for the 'Project Healthcare 2026 Spring Cohort', a healthcare-specialized accelerator program hosted by the Nashville Entrepreneur Center.
While many domestic bio and medical companies have chosen Boston or Silicon Valley as their primary expansion locations, YeziX has chosen Nashville, Tennessee, as its initial base. Nashville is home to a high concentration of value-based healthcare and healthcare IT solution companies, and is considered a key city in the US healthcare industry.
Over 900 healthcare companies, including HCA Healthcare, a hospital network, are concentrated in the region, generating approximately $97 billion in annual revenue. Furthermore, related industry infrastructure is expanding, with Oracle announcing plans to relocate its headquarters to Nashville to expand its healthcare data business.
YeziX strategically selected the Nashville ecosystem as a base to incorporate feedback from local hospital customers from the product development stage. Companies selected for Project Healthcare will gain direct access to key decision-makers, including executives at major hospital systems, including HCA Healthcare, investors, and insurers. They will also receive support for local market entry, including technology validation and pilot projects.
During this selection process, YeziX's core pipeline, a patient readmission risk prediction solution, garnered attention for its potential to improve the financial structure and operational efficiency of U.S. hospitals. The solution leverages remote patient monitoring and wearable device data during the post-discharge care phase to identify high-risk patients and prioritize the allocation of limited medical personnel and resources. This potential application within a value-based healthcare system not only enhances clinical outcomes but also reduces hospital costs and improves operational efficiency.
CEO Jeong Seong-hyeon stated that for the commercial success of medical AI in the US market, it is crucial to provide practical utility based on an understanding of hospital financial and operational systems, along with clinical value. He added that the selection for this program will serve as a catalyst for YeziX's business development, ensuring its solution becomes a core infrastructure component within the US hospital system.
