Kibo Launches "AX Innovation Index" Self-Diagnosis Service for SMEs

The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Jong-ho Kim) announced on the 3rd that it will conduct a self-diagnosis service called the 'AX Innovation Index' to diagnose the level of AI transformation (AX) for small and medium-sized venture companies in cooperation with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Venture Business Association.

This service was designed to help companies assess their AX level and formulate future strategies amid accelerating changes in the AI-driven business environment. The AX Innovation Index consists of 12 sub-indicators across four areas: Strategy and Will, Resources and Organization, Technology and Data, and Utilization and Performance. Each indicator's weighting was calculated through expert opinions and hierarchical analysis. The assessment results are provided in the form of a comprehensive score and a report for each category. Companies can assess their AX maturity across five levels: Foundation, Preparation, Establishment, Expansion, and Leadership.

In this project, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups will provide policy direction for establishing an AX-based foundation and expanding its culture, while the Korea Venture Business Association will be responsible for providing service guidance and promotion to approximately 38,500 venture companies nationwide. Kibo will operate a web-based self-diagnosis service, accessible without membership registration, and provide companies with the results to support future strategic direction development.

A Ministry of SMEs and Startups official stated that this service will serve as a starting point for expanding the AX culture among SMEs and ventures, and that the company plans to analyze the diagnostic results and develop customized support policies that reflect on-site needs. Lee Jae-pil, a director at Kibo, stated, "Securing AI competitiveness for SMEs is a critical task," adding, "Kibo will systematically support the spread of the AX culture and the qualitative growth of the venture ecosystem."

This service will run from the 4th to the 13th, and the first results of the analysis of self-diagnosis data from participating companies are scheduled to be announced in April.
