Telepix's first Space Pioneer Fellowship program concludes

Telepix announced on the 3rd that it has concluded the first round of its "Cosmo Pioneers Fellowship," a talent development program that began recruiting in December of last year. The program ran for approximately two months, from January 5 to February 27, 2026.

This fellowship program is notable for its competency-based selection model, which shifts away from the traditional focus on academic background and career experience and instead prioritizes applicants' potential and problem-solving skills. Evaluations focused on practical task performance, resulting in a competition rate of approximately 75 to 1.

A total of two applicants were selected in the first round. Park Dong-hyun, a third-year student at Busan Software Meister High School, was selected for the Software Engineer position, while Yoon Seong-hyun, a second-year student in the Department of Computer Science at Seoul National University, was selected for the AI Engineer position. The company explained that they comprehensively evaluated the applicants' technical skills and growth potential using the same criteria as in previous recruitments.

The selected individuals were immediately deployed to practical projects. In the AI field, they jointly conducted cutting-edge research projects to advance satellite AI technology, producing results worthy of presentation at international conferences. A related paper is currently in the final stages of completion. Participants in the software field participated in satellite data processing and service development projects, implementing real-world service-level functionality and improving code.

On February 27th, a final seminar and graduation ceremony were held, sharing the project's results and problem-solving process. Participants presented their entire process, from defining the problem to developing a solution strategy and overcoming technical challenges.

The company stated that this program reflects its talent philosophy, which prioritizes problem-solving skills and technological potential over limitations on majors and career paths. Telepix, a space AI company that integrates satellite data analysis and system implementation with AI, aims to expand industry entry opportunities for talent from diverse backgrounds.

CEO Cho Sung-ik stated that in the era of Newspace, the ability to solve complex problems is crucial, and that he has confirmed the potential of a competency-based selection model.
