Kim Ji-hyun, CEO of Korea Deep Learning, selected as one of Forbes Korea's 30 Under 30 for 2026.

Korea Deep Learning announced on the 4th that CEO Jihyun Kim was selected for the "2026 Forbes Korea 30 Under 30" Deep and Enterprise Tech category. CEO Kim is the first woman to be named in this category.

Forbes Korea annually announces its list of 30 individuals under 30 who have distinguished themselves across industries, based on a comprehensive evaluation of their growth potential and business performance. CEO Kim was included on the final list in recognition of his commercialization of document understanding technology based on the Vision Language Model (VLM) and its implementation in a form applicable to corporate environments.

CEO Kim founded the company in 2019 at the age of 22, establishing a foundation for its business by initially supplying a deep learning OCR system to public institutions. He later expanded the scope of his technology by introducing a VLM (Virtual Learning Model) architecture that simultaneously analyzes the visual elements and linguistic context of documents. The solution that integrates these technologies is "DEEP Agent," a VLM-based integrated document AI system.

Deep Agent is a solution that integrates and analyzes text, tables, formulas, shapes, and layout information within a document to understand its structure and meaning. It restores table hierarchies, linkages between clauses, and key-value relationships, enabling integration with enterprise systems such as ERP, RPA, and CRM.

CEO Kim Ji-hyun emphasized the significance of being selected in the technology sector that supports corporate growth, stating that the company's focus on implementing AI systems that operate reliably in real-world customer environments led to this recognition. She added that the company will continue to advance its document AI technology and expand into overseas markets, establishing itself as a partner supporting companies' AI transition.

As competition intensifies in the global market for enterprise AI solutions that combine document processing automation and generative AI, the race for technological leadership between related startups and big tech companies is also accelerating.
