Unity (NYSE: U) will showcase its technology to support the AI transformation of the manufacturing industry at the Smart Factory & Automation Industry Exhibition (AW 2026), held at COEX in Seoul from March 4 to 6.
Unity will be operating a booth (D562) under the theme, "Connecting Physical AI from Virtual Environments to Real-World Industrial Workplaces." The exhibition will showcase an integrated workflow that mitigates data processing delays and system integration issues that arise when introducing AI into manufacturing processes, and expands the scope of digital twin applications.
The event will also feature a demo that simulates real-world manufacturing environments. By leveraging the on-device AI inference engine "Unity Sentis," the event demonstrates how a robot can recognize and judge objects without the need for a separate, high-performance server, demonstrating a way to directly integrate AI into industrial equipment.
Additionally, the web-based, no-code tool "Unity Studio" will enable even non-professional developers to design digital twin scenarios. Integration with the cloud-based management solution "Unity Asset Manager" will showcase the entire process, from data optimization to operational management.
On March 6, Min Kyung-jun, Head of Unity Korea Industry Business Division, will present a keynote session and explain the direction of the Manufacturing AX initiative, including the 'Simulation-to-Reality' strategy of lightweighting CAD data and applying simulation results to actual sites.
Song Min-seok, CEO of Unity Korea, stated that in order to promote AI transformation in the manufacturing industry, it is important to have the technological capabilities to intuitively visualize and integrate complex data and manage them in an integrated manner, and that this exhibition will provide a first-hand experience with related solutions.
In recent years, the manufacturing and smart factory sectors have been actively developing technologies centered on physical AI and digital twin-based solutions.
