Wadiz's monthly active users increase 2.5 times and overseas transactions grow eightfold.

Wadiz (CEO Shin Hye-sung) announced on the 5th that as of January this year, its monthly active users (MAU) increased 2.5 times compared to the same period last year, and its overseas transaction volume increased more than eightfold. This strengthens the platform's position as a global gateway for domestic small business owners and emerging brands.

This growth is attributed primarily to the steady influx of international users since the global service launched in May of last year. International visitors, primarily from the US, Japan, and China, accounted for approximately 40% of total monthly active users (MAU) in January of this year, and actual payments were made in over 40 countries, demonstrating the company's global expansion efforts.

An average of 100 projects are expanding overseas each month through Wadiz, driving growth in transaction volume. By category, K-beauty (21%), K-goods (19%), and K-fashion (18%) are leading the charge, accounting for more than half of overseas transactions. Fans from over 20 countries participated in the drama goods project, while beauty device and lifestyle hanbok projects also attracted participation from English-speaking consumers.

Global participation continued not only in consumer goods but also in content areas such as e-books and classes. The "Digital Drawing Brush and Class" funding campaign attracted supporters from 12 countries, including Asia, North America, and Europe.

Wadiz is also focusing on supporting overseas brands entering the Korean market. Recently, it established offices in Tokyo and Shenzhen, expanding its network of global makers and partnerships. Global technology products such as the AI smartphone "MindOne," the AI wearable robot "Hypershell," and the AI glasses "Leion Hey2" have been launched through Wadiz, contributing to the entry of innovative overseas brands into the Korean market.

A Wadiz official stated, “The growth in MAU and overseas transaction volume confirms that Wadiz is a platform that directly connects domestic makers with global consumers,” and “We plan to strengthen Wadiz’s role as a global platform so that more K-innovation makers can enter the global market through Wadiz in the future.”

In the recent global crowdfunding market, there has been a growing trend of overseas transaction expansion and platform entry, particularly among K-beauty, K-fashion, and tech startups.
