Domestic reading platform KT Milli's Library (CEO Park Hyun-jin) announced on the 6th that it has completed its participation in the world's largest mobile exhibition, 'Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026' held in Barcelona, Spain.
MWC began as a trade show focused on wireless communications and mobile technologies, but has since expanded to encompass a wide range of industries, including AI, AR/VR, the Internet of Things (IoT), and content, establishing itself as a global exhibition showcasing innovative technologies. This year, MWC 2026, themed "The IQ Era," featured approximately 2,800 companies.
Milli's Library, participating in MWC for the second consecutive year, announced its vision to reimagine reading as a continuous experience, rather than a mere moment. At the event, the company introduced "Millipairing," a service focused on "connection," and "AI Reading Farming," a service that supports in-depth reading. Many visitors visited the booth, experienced these new reading methods firsthand.
Millipairing is a service that automatically resumes reading progress across different reading environments, leveraging OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and STT (Speech-to-Text) technologies. It maintains continuity across paper, e-book, and audiobook formats and devices, providing an immersive reading experience anytime, anywhere. The event featured demonstrations using "A Very Private Palace Walk" and the English book "Inside Out 1," demonstrating the process of transitioning from paper to e-book and then to replay mode.
AI-powered reading analysis analyzes the context of a book, provides real-time answers to readers' questions, and instantly links to relevant pages, enhancing reading comprehension. A demonstration utilizing "Dailycation Enjoy Korea Like a Local" was also presented on-site, allowing attendees to directly experience the link between recommended questions and original text pages.
“We are focusing on how technology is transforming the reading experience,” said Lim Seok-bin, head of Milli’s Library’s platform technology division. “By connecting content formats, devices, and reading environments, we will create an environment where anyone can easily access reading.”
Meanwhile, in the global reading platform and AI-based learning and content service sectors, competition for technologies that provide continuity across devices and formats is intensifying.
