Hecto Financial announced that it was selected as an excellent corporation in the comprehensive evaluation category at the '2025 KOSDAQ Market Public Disclosure Excellent Corporation' awards ceremony held at the Korea Exchange in Yeouido on the 5th.
The Korea Exchange's Excellent Disclosure Corporation Award system recognizes and rewards listed companies that have contributed to enhancing management transparency and investor confidence. Companies are recognized for their excellence in four areas: long-term and honest disclosure, performance forecast disclosure, investor relations (IR) activities, and comprehensive evaluation.
Hecto Financial was highly praised for its systematic development of a disclosure infrastructure to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and appropriateness of disclosures and to provide highly useful information to investors. CEO Choi Jong-won attended the awards ceremony, and the head of the IR department also received a commendation for his contributions to disclosure.
Hecto Financial is actively implementing shareholder-friendly policies. Under its four-year shareholder return policy, established in 2024, the company has set a dividend payout floor of 21% of net income and aims to achieve a dividend payout ratio of at least 25% by increasing the payout ratio by at least 1 percentage point each year. In 2025, the company delivered approximately KRW 3.6 billion in shareholder returns through a capital increase and treasury stock cancellation.
CEO Choi Jong-won said, "We will continue to strive to protect investor rights and increase shareholder value through prompt and accurate disclosures, various IR activities, and shareholder-friendly policies."
At this awards ceremony, 15 companies, including Hecto Financial, will be exempted from being designated as dishonest disclosure corporations for the next three years, and will receive benefits such as exemption from annual training, access to the electronic disclosure system, and rewards.
This award demonstrates that disclosure transparency and shareholder-friendly policies are becoming important factors in corporate evaluation in the fintech industry.
