Travel platform My Real Trip (CEO Dong-geon Lee) announced that it has launched a free travel package that allows you to watch LAFC matches of the American professional soccer league MLS on site.
This package combines an LAFC game with a free tour of Los Angeles. It's part of the "MyPack" program, a customized free travel package operated by MyRealTrip through its official partnership with LAFC. It allows travelers to combine flights, accommodations, tours, and activities to suit their travel goals, offering the convenience of a package tour with the flexibility of independent travel.
The package itinerary is a three-night, six-day trip departing May 23rd, taking advantage of the Buddha's Birthday holiday period. Direct flights are available on Asiana Airlines, and accommodations include a four-star hotel in Los Angeles' Koreatown. The company explained that the travel route and itinerary were designed with the game-watching and sightseeing schedule in mind.
This package also features a live viewing of LAFC's final home game ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, highlighting the opportunity to experience both the local soccer atmosphere and the World Cup excitement.
In addition to watching the game, the itinerary includes major Los Angeles tourist attractions, with optional tours to Joshua Tree National Park, Disneyland, or Universal Studios.
Additionally, MyPack users will receive a $20 voucher for use at the stadium store. The first 20 participants will also receive access to the pre-game "Anthem Flag" ceremony.
Kim Jin-hong, My Real Trip My Pack CEO, said, “This product is characterized by adding on-site experience programs to the free travel structure centered on watching sports ahead of the World Cup,” and “We designed the product to provide a variety of experiences in addition to watching the games.”
My Real Trip became the first in the domestic travel industry to sign an official partnership with LAFC in January of this year, and has been expanding its ticket sales business to major European soccer leagues and UEFA Champions League matches, starting with official ticket sales for the English Premier League (EPL) in 2023.
As demand for 'sports tourism' centered around watching sports events has increased recently, the market for overseas sports tourism products is also rapidly expanding.
