Lightning Market (Co-CEOs Seunghyun Kang and Jaehwa Choi) was invited as a Korean company to the world-renowned analytical chemistry and applied spectroscopy conference 'Pittcon' and introduced science-based inspection technology.
Jinah Kim, CEO of Insightview Tech, which oversees the science and technology inspection of the Lightning Market, presented the technical structure and practical application cases of the company's convergence inspection technology, Corelytics™, at '2026 Pittcon' held in San Antonio, Texas, USA.
Pittcon is a globally recognized academic and industrial event in the fields of analytical chemistry and applied spectroscopy, offering a platform for sharing research and technological achievements across diverse fields, including analytical chemistry, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, the environment, and energy. The event features world-renowned scientists, including Nobel Prize winners, and brings together researchers and industry experts to discuss the latest technologies.
Lightning Market shared a case study of applying analytical science-based inspection technology to a real-world recommerce environment, highlighting its experience in incorporating scientific analysis techniques into the commerce inspection process to combat the problem of luxury goods counterfeiting. The presentation described the Coalytics architecture, which combines non-destructive analysis with deep learning-based data processing, and demonstrated real-world inspection cases.
Coalytics is based on "APT™ (Authenticity Proof Technology)," a non-destructive analysis patent jointly filed by Beongaejangteo and Insight Viewtech. Combining the experience of professional inspectors with the analytical expertise of researchers, Coalytics improves upon existing inspection systems. Using a portable X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometer, it analyzes the elemental composition and components of product materials, such as metal and leather, without damaging them. It then uses a data-driven algorithm to determine authenticity.
Professor Frances H. Arnold, winner of the 2018 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, who attended the event, gave a positive assessment of efforts to protect intellectual property through science and technology. In his presentation, CEO Kim discussed the industrial applicability of inspection technology with global scientists and expressed his anticipation for future technological advancements.
