Ellis Group (CEO Kim Jae-won), a provider of AI infrastructure, cloud, and industry-specific solutions, announced on the 13th that it is pursuing collaboration with security specialist AhnLab in the areas of AI data centers and next-generation network security. Key representatives from both companies attended the MOU signing ceremony held at Ellis Group's headquarters in Seoul on the 12th.
This collaboration focuses on building a customized security system to safely protect large-scale AI data processing in data centers and edge environments. The two companies will comply with the government's Cloud Security Accreditation (CSAP) Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) standards and jointly develop a security design optimized for virtual machines (VMs) and container environments where AI learning and inference occur.
In particular, AhnLab's 100 Gbps distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) response solution, AhnLab DPX, and next-generation intrusion prevention system (IPS), AhnLab IPS, will be applied to the Ellis AI Mobile Modular Data Center (PMDC) to verify performance and stability. This will block large-scale network attacks that may occur during AI learning, maintain PMDC mobility and flexibility, and implement a secure AI infrastructure.
Based on this collaboration, the two companies plan to discover and plan joint projects targeting public institutions and private companies requiring large-scale AI infrastructure.
“Through this collaboration, we will establish cloud-based AI security standards that can be safely utilized by both the public and private sectors,” said Park Jeong-guk, CTO of Ellis Group. “Starting with the demonstration of a 100 Gbps-class security system, we will establish a globally competitive AI data center security case.”
AhnLab Corporate Sales Division Director Yoo Myung-ho stated, “We will apply AhnLab’s security technology and know-how to the Ellis AI Data Center and verify it in a real-world environment, thereby providing a secure data center and network security environment required in the AI era.”
