Cashwalk Pilots Restaurant Receipt Verification Reward Feature in 'Neighborhood Walk'

Nudge Healthcare, a healthcare platform company, announced on the 13th that its health management application Cashwalk has piloted a restaurant receipt verification reward feature for its 'Neighborhood Walk' service.

Neighborhood Walk is one of Cashwalk's key features and is a local-based service designed to enable users to engage in walking activities while visiting various locations within their living area. Users can check information about nearby living spaces, such as parks or hospitals, and receive rewards in the form of cash when they visit these places.

The newly introduced restaurant receipt verification reward feature will initially be operated for 247 restaurants in Gangnam-gu. Users can check participating stores through the 'Nearby Walk' menu of the Neighborhood Walk service, visit the store, and receive cash by verifying their receipt.

Cashwalk has been expanding the reward locations for its Neighborhood Walk service from parks to daily amenities such as hospitals. With the addition of this feature, the company plans to broaden participation opportunities linked to daily life by extending the service scope to local commercial areas, including restaurants and cafes.

The company expects that connecting walking activities and local consumption experiences into a single service flow will increase user engagement and strengthen connections with local shops. In particular, by moving beyond simple location verification and designing the system to base participation on actual purchases, the company anticipates that this will enhance the credibility of the service experience and aid in the accumulation of user data.

Nudge Healthcare plans to first operate the function focusing on restaurants and cafes in Gangnam-gu, and then gradually expand the service area and participating industries based on user response and operational results.

Since its launch, the Neighborhood Walk service has seen a continuous increase in user participation and has established itself as a major walking-based service within Cashwalk. Song Seung-geun, CEO of Nudge Healthcare, stated, “Neighborhood Walk is a service that goes beyond simple visit verification to connect actual store visits with consumption experiences,” adding, “We will continue to strengthen our reward structure to ensure that users’ real-life activities naturally lead to service experiences.”

Recently, there has been a growing trend in the healthcare platform industry of local commerce models that combine walking reward services with local commercial districts.
