Zigzag, 'Lingeriecore' Style Using Underwear Gains Popularity… "Transaction Volume Increases 134-fold"

Zigzag, a style commerce platform operated by Kakao Style (CEO Seo Jeong-hoon), announced on the 16th that the 'Lingerie-Core' style, which combines underwear designs with everyday wear, has recently gained popularity among consumers, and the demand for related products is rapidly increasing.

According to Zigzag, from February 10 to March 9, the search volume for 'Lingerie Core' related products increased by approximately 20 times (1976%) compared to the same period last year, and various related search terms such as 'Lingerie Core look', 'sleeveless', and 'dress' also appeared. Transaction volume also increased by 134 times (13337%) compared to the previous year, reflecting the high level of interest.

Looking at product types, the transaction volume of 'slip sleeveless' items, which combine a slip and a sleeveless design, increased by 445%, while 'satin skirts' and 'silk skirts,' which can be layered with denim pants or jackets, grew by 403% and 165%, respectively. Camisoles recorded transaction increases of 82% to 108%, emerging as highly versatile items.

This trend was also reflected in the actual rankings within ZigZag. 'Ganaesra's 'Mignon Lace Sleeveless' took 3rd place in the sleeveless category, while 'Seno's 'Ollie Satin Silk Lace Mini Dress' and 'Morent's 'Daphne Lace Satin Midi Dress' ranked high in the dress category.

Along with this, related fashion items such as the 'sagging' style that exposes underwear, 'bodysuits' that combine tops and panties, and low-rise pants also garnered attention on social media, leading to a significant increase in transactions. Transaction volume for sagging products increased by approximately 89 times (8839%) compared to the previous year, while bodysuits increased by 96% and low-rise pants by 1843%.

In response to customer demand, ZigZag is holding the 'ZigZag Only' special exhibition until the 22nd, featuring participation from shopping malls, brands, beauty, and lifestyle stores to showcase ZigZag exclusive products. A Kakao Style official stated, “Lingerie core style is establishing itself as a trend, centered on female consumers in their 20s and 30s, with diverse applications in materials, details, and layering methods,” adding, “Continuous demand growth is expected through the spring and summer seasons.”

Recently, in the domestic online fashion industry, sales in related categories are expanding as demand for underwear-based layered styles and mixed-material coordinated products increases, driven primarily by the MZ generation.
