Jarvis & Villains Launches Post-Payment Tax Refund Service 'New Samjeom Sam'

Jarvis & Villains (CEO Kim Beom-seop) announced on the 17th that it has unveiled 'New Samjeom Sam,' a service that allows customers using the tax refund service to receive the refund first and pay the service fee later.

A key feature of New Samjeomsam is its post-payment system, the first of its kind in the tax tech industry. Customers can pay their service fees only after confirming that the refund has been deposited into their account following the completion of their refund request, thereby reducing the financial burden and allowing them to use the service more securely and conveniently. The introduction of this method strengthens the credibility of the Samjeomsam service and is expected to attract additional potential customers who have not yet claimed their refunds.

The refund application process has also been improved with user convenience in mind. It provides an intuitive service experience by simplifying the process so that personalized surveys required for maximum refunds—such as dependents, monthly rent tax credits, and income tax reductions for SME employees—can be completed on a single page.

Samjeomsam is a leading platform in the domestic tax tech market that has secured 24 million cumulative subscribers since first entering the market in May 2020 as a simple refund service, supporting tax filing for non-standard workers such as freelancers, self-employed individuals, and part-timers.

Kim Beom-seop, CEO of Jarvis & Villains, stated, “The introduction of deferred payment is a structural innovation that allows customers to use the service without the burden of payment,” adding, “We will continue to advance our services and enhance customer convenience as a first mover in the tax tech market.”

Meanwhile, the tax tech industry has recently seen an increasing number of cases where customer convenience and service accessibility are enhanced through the introduction of post-payment and simplified refund services.
