NOTA Participates in SECON 2026… Unveils Demo of VLM-based Security Monitoring Solution

Nota , a company specializing in AI lightweighting and optimization technology, announced on the 17th that it will participate in SECON 2026, the largest integrated security exhibition in Korea held at KINTEX in Ilsan from March 18 to 20, and demonstrate its Vision Language Model (VLM)-based security monitoring solution 'NVA (Nota Vision Agent)'.

At this exhibition, Nota plans to showcase, focusing on real-world examples, how its NVA technology—which goes beyond simple object identification to understand the context of situations within video—can be applied in industrial sites and public facilities.

NVA is a solution that enhances security monitoring efficiency by combining existing computer vision (CV) technology with vision language models. Going beyond simply recognizing objects on a screen, it analyzes the context of a situation to detect risk factors early; furthermore, if users set detection rules using natural language, the AI immediately grasps the situation, strengthening incident prevention and on-site response capabilities.

In terms of technical reliability, NVA obtained certification from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and verified its technological capabilities in the field of selective monitoring by recording an average accuracy of over 90% in all evaluation categories. Furthermore, using an 'on-device AI' method, it processes video data on the device itself without transmitting it to an external cloud, thereby enhancing personal information protection and enabling a latency-free real-time monitoring environment.

The demonstrations showcased at the exhibition include four key examples: early detection of server room fires, differentiation between military and civilian vehicles and analysis of abnormal pedestrian behavior, prevention of accident risks through crowd density analysis, and real-time detection of illegal waste dumping.

Nota has secured numerous use cases for protecting key facilities and managing crowd safety through collaboration with the National Police Agency, local governments, and military agencies. For instance, at the Daejeon Bread Festival, it implemented a system for real-time crowd counting and automatic danger alerts, and some local governments are utilizing NVA to monitor illegal waste dumping.

CEO Chae Myeong-su stated, “NVA technology has proven its reliability through field application in public institutions,” adding, “We plan to expand the scope of application to various industrial sites, such as smart buildings, logistics, and childcare, by utilizing natural language-based context understanding capabilities.”

Meanwhile, in the security and safety industry, the automation of safety management in public and industrial sites is increasing as the adoption of AI-based situational awareness technology and real-time video analysis solutions expands.
