Taesung announced that it will participate in the battery industry exhibition 'BATTERY JAPAN 2026' held in Tokyo, Japan, and showcase composite copper foil-related technologies and production solutions.
Taesung is expanding its scope of global cooperation by signing a supply contract for composite copper foil materials with a Japanese battery company following its participation in the previous InterBattery exhibition. Through its participation in BATTERY JAPAN, Taesung plans to expand opportunities for technology cooperation and supply chain establishment with overseas battery companies, including those in Japan.
BATTERY JAPAN is a global exhibition attended by companies across the entire secondary battery industry, including battery materials, components, and manufacturing equipment, and is known as a venue where major battery manufacturers discuss next-generation technologies and cooperation plans.
At this exhibition, Taesung plans to pursue expanded cooperation with global companies, focusing on composite copper foil technology and related equipment, which are key materials for next-generation secondary batteries. The company recently designated the composite copper foil equipment and materials business as a new growth engine and is actively entering the global market through contracts with battery manufacturers in Japan and Canada.
"Interest in next-generation battery materials is growing due to the expansion of the electric vehicle and energy storage system (ESS) markets," said a Taesung official. "We plan to use this exhibition as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation with global companies and contribute to the expansion of the composite copper foil market."
Meanwhile, in the global battery industry, competition to develop next-generation battery material technologies and expand overseas supply chains is actively underway to meet the increasing demand for electric vehicles and ESS.
