NBT announced on the 17th that it has partnered with HotelsCombined, a global accommodation and travel price comparison platform, utilizing its affiliate commerce model 'Link Commerce' to expand its affiliate network.
Link Commerce started as a partnership based on Naver Shopping and has shown a monthly average growth rate of over 80%, with cumulative transaction volume exceeding 120 billion won and monthly transaction volume surpassing 60 billion won. Through this partnership, the company plans to expand its existing shopping-centric structure to include the travel and accommodation sectors, while simultaneously pursuing the expansion of transaction volume and category diversification.
HotelsCombined is a platform that allows users to compare approximately 5.7 million accommodation products across more than 21 countries via a mobile app, and is used by over 300 million travelers worldwide. Through this partnership, NBT expects to connect global travel demand with its link commerce user base and improve profitability by leveraging the high transaction values unique to accommodation products and the concentrated consumption patterns during peak seasons.
NBT accelerates its affiliate expansion strategy by combining a monthly user base of approximately 11 million with its proprietary point platform and sophisticated ad-tech tracking technology. Through a settlement system based on actual purchase data, both advertisers and affiliates can transparently measure performance, and economies of scale are expected as transaction volume increases.
An NBT official stated, “Through our collaboration with HotelsCombined, we have created an opportunity for Link Commerce to expand into high-value verticals such as travel and accommodation,” adding, “We will simultaneously strengthen transaction volume and profitability by diversifying partnership categories and scaling up.”
Meanwhile, in the domestic point-based commerce market, there has recently been an increasing number of cases pursuing revenue diversification by expanding partnerships into high-value sectors such as travel and accommodation.
