The Pinkfong Company (CEO Kim Min-seok) announced on the 18th that it will hold the 'Baby Shark' interactive exhibition 'Baby Shark's Easter Splash' at Outernet London in London, UK.
Outer Net is London's premier cultural and experiential space, visited by approximately 120 million people annually. It is a complex venue that combines exhibitions and entertainment through large, immersive LED screens and diverse media content. This exhibition marks the first experiential exhibition featuring a K-character at Outer Net, offering a unique visitor experience based on Baby Shark, a character with high local recognition.
The exhibition will take place from March 30 to April 12 in an 8K LED wrap-around screen space spanning approximately 249 square meters. Through immersive media art and participatory content that spans the walls and ceiling, visitors can experience a Baby Shark character parade video set against an underwater backdrop and the 'Interactive Underwater Easter Egg Hunt' game. Utilizing motion tracking technology, the experience allows up to 10 people to participate simultaneously and adapts the Easter egg hunt to British children's culture.
The next-generation character 'Bebepin' also appears in the exhibition, providing children with both cooperative and immersive experiences. Baby Shark enjoys high recognition in the UK and has achieved notable success, including reaching #6 on the Official Singles Chart in 2019, 200 million streams in 2022, and ranking #1 as the most streamed music video in 2024. Furthermore, the brand has expanded its influence by earning 5X Platinum certification and releasing a special collaborative track with the London Symphony Orchestra.
An official from The Pinkfong Company stated, “It is meaningful to showcase Baby Shark at Outernet, a world-class media art space, and provide global fans with an interactive content experience,” adding, “We will continue to strengthen our position in the global family entertainment market through immersive exhibitions and digital experience content.”
Meanwhile, the global entertainment industry has recently been actively expanding K-character IP using LED-based immersive experience exhibitions and interactive content.
