Brand builder Imweb (CEO Lee Su-mo) announced on the 18th that it has been selected as one of the 'High-Growth Companies Asia-Pacific 2026' for the fifth consecutive year.
The UK's Financial Times (FT) and global research firm Statista select the top 500 companies by evaluating revenue growth rates and business models across 13 Asia-Pacific countries. This year's evaluation was based on performance data from 2021 to 2024. Imweb ranked 11th in the e-commerce sector, with its revenue more than doubling during that period.
This achievement is the result of Imweb's growth based on a Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) strategy centered on its own online store, and is the fruit of collaboration with over 1 million client brands. The company recently surpassed 7 trillion won in cumulative transaction volume, numerically proving that its own online store is a core channel for brand growth.
Imweb is supporting brand growth by expanding beyond web builder functions into a platform that supports overall commerce operations. Recently, it has established an environment where brands can design and execute growth strategies utilizing their own online store data by organically connecting analytics, marketing, and an AI-based operational environment.
In addition, there are plans to sequentially introduce the 'Creator Commerce' service, which helps brands expand their sales channels and increase revenue, and the 'AI Agent' service, which combines data and AI to support decision-making by online store operators, within the year.
"This selection reflects the market trend of brands seeking to directly build customer relationships and grow through their own online stores," said Imweb CEO Lee Su-mo. "Going forward, Imweb will expand its role as a 'brand builder' that supports the sustainable growth of brands based on data and technology."
Meanwhile, competition among platforms supporting D2C and company-owned online store-centric brand growth strategies has recently been expanding in the Asia-Pacific region.
