Cloud & introduces Thailand BigC and Ansan City cases at 'Korea-ASEAN Service Tech and Smart City Day'

Cloud & , an AIoT-based energy management company, announced on the 23rd that it participated in the '2025 Korea-ASEAN Service Tech and Smart City Day' held in Bangkok, Thailand from May 29th to 30th and presented its smart city solutions and cases of entering the Thai market. Cloud & gave a keynote speech on the first day of the event and introduced the global applicability of smart city technology centered on energy management systems.

The event was hosted by KOTRA and aimed at promoting smart city cooperation and expanding technology exports between Korea and ASEAN countries. A total of 150 business consultations were held with 27 Korean small and medium-sized companies, the Thai government, major public institutions, and clients participating.

In his presentation, Cloud & CEO Kim Jeong-seok shared a case study of the local application of C-BEMS (Building Energy Management System), the company’s AIoT-based energy and facility integrated management platform, in Thailand. The system has been introduced to stores of Thailand’s major distribution company BigC, and is contributing to improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions through real-time energy consumption analysis and optimization of HVAC systems.

As a domestic case, the company introduced its participation in the smart city project with Ansan City. Cloud & is currently applying its system to public institutions and multi-use facilities to demonstrate real-time energy monitoring, predictive maintenance, and greenhouse gas reduction effects, and emphasized that this experience can be applied to the Southeast Asian region as well.

In addition, AI-based temperature prediction and HVAC control algorithms that take into account the climate characteristics of Southeast Asia were also introduced. The technology is being developed as an international joint research project jointly supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and AI Singapore, and is being conducted as part of the 'International Joint Research Project on Information and Communications Broadcasting Technology' of the Information and Communications Technology Planning and Evaluation Institute (IITP) in cooperation with Korea University.

In addition, Cloud & has agreed to promote a smart city pilot project with Pattaya City, Thailand. The pilot project will apply C-BEMS and C-FEMS (factory energy management system), and a phased cooperation roadmap will be established focusing on selecting pilot areas, improving public infrastructure, and introducing a carbon neutral strategy.

CEO Kim Jeong-seok said, “Through this announcement, we have confirmed that Cloud&’s technology is effective in ASEAN urban environments,” and added, “Starting with Pattaya City, we will expand Korean smart city solutions throughout ASEAN.”
